The importance of Transport

The transportation industry plays a vital role in India’s growth and economy for a number of reasons. As the nation develops, national and state highways connecting locations and allowing for transport, travel, and business to occur can significantly impact India’s future. Some of the important factors of the transportation industry include:

  • Physical Distribution
  • Economic Developments

The Challenges Faced

  • India has a massive and diverse transport sector, as the world’s second largest road network, that caters to the needs of billion people.

  • While India is predicted to grow at a significant rate, with the increasing of urbanization and business, its transport sector will need to grow as well.

  • Although this brings up challenges such as greenhouse gas pollution from vehicles, more construction for roads needed, more vehicle accidents that may occur, and the mainstreaming of vehicle registration and processing documents.
